The Chinese release has two new Special Illustration Rare (SIR) cards: N's Plan in Black Bolt and Hilda in White Flare. PokéBeach reported on 16 October 2026 that neither card has been released anywhere else in the world. Both sets come out in China on 6 November 2026\. Apart from those two cards, they are "nearly identical to ours, but printed in Simplified Chinese" . **Quick Answer:** PokéBeach reports that China releases Simplified Chinese Black Bolt and White Flare on 6 November 2026\. The sets are nearly identical to the English versions. The exception is two brand-new Special Illustration Rares, N's Plan in Black Bolt and Hilda in White Flare, which have not been released anywhere else. A Special Illustration Rare is a high-rarity card with full-card artwork that extends beyond the usual frame. The English Black Bolt and White Flare sets launched on 18 July 2025 . China releases sets on its own schedule, later than the rest of the world, and PokéBeach calls this release part of China's "ongoing effort to catch up with the rest of the world" . Here is what PokéBeach reports and two other outlets repeat: - **Release date:** 6 November 2026 in mainland China, for both sets. - **Language:** Simplified Chinese. - **Set list:** nearly identical to the English Black Bolt and White Flare. - **Exclusive cards:** a new N's Plan SIR in Black Bolt and a new Hilda SIR in White Flare. PullList published the same details on 16 October 2026\. It says both SIRs are "new cards — not reprints of existing artwork" . PortalTCG reported the same date and printing language on the same day: > "Both sets release on 6 November, printed in Simplified Chinese, as China continues to catch up with the sets the rest of the world already has," — PortalTCG news desk (source: PortalTCG) ## When do the Chinese sets release, and what are their set codes? Both Simplified Chinese sets release in mainland China on 6 November 2026, according to PokéBeach . Collector guides list the set codes as CSV10.5C for Black Bolt and CSV10.6C for White Flare . The date comes from a single original report. PullList and PortalTCG both repeated it on 16 October 2026 and cited PokéBeach as their source . As of 3 November 2026, the PokéBeach report is still the only primary source for the date. | English set | Simplified Chinese code | English rendering of Chinese title | China release | | ----------- | ----------------------- | ---------------------------------- | --------------- | | Black Bolt | CSV10.5C | Black Thunder Torrent | 6 November 2026 | | White Flare | CSV10.6C | White Flame Surge | 6 November 2026 | The Chinese titles are not direct translations of the English names. SimplifiedCollector gives "Black Thunder Torrent" for Black Bolt and "White Flame Surge" for White Flare. It lists the same CSV10.5C and CSV10.6C codes as Card-Binder . The Chinese release comes more than a year after the English one. Black Bolt and White Flare launched in English on 18 July 2025 as twin Unova-themed Scarlet & Violet expansions . The Simplified Chinese market runs on its own, later schedule and often adds artwork found only in China. - **English release:** 18 July 2025 - **Simplified Chinese release:** 6 November 2026, per PokéBeach - **Market:** mainland China only - **Codes to look for on listings:** CSV10.5C (Black Bolt), CSV10.6C (White Flare) ## Which exclusive SIRs do the Chinese sets add: N's Plan and Hilda? The Simplified Chinese sets add two Trainer Special Illustration Rares that the English sets never had. N's Plan is in Black Bolt and Hilda is in White Flare. According to PokéBeach, both are brand new Special Illustration Rares that have not been released anywhere else in the world . The Chinese market labels this rarity SAR (Special Art Rare). PullList describes both as "new cards — not reprints of existing artwork" . - **N's Plan SIR (Black Bolt):** SimplifiedCollector credits the artwork to Iwamoto05 . Card-Binder calls it "a brand-new atmospheric full-card illustration" showing N "in deep contemplation" . - **Hilda SIR (White Flare):** SimplifiedCollector credits the artwork to Ligton . Card-Binder describes it as "a dynamic, battle-ready full-art" of Unova's female protagonist . | Card | Set (Chinese code) | Artist | Card number (SimplifiedCollector) | | ------------ | ---------------------- | --------- | --------------------------------- | | N's Plan SIR | Black Bolt (CSV10.5C) | Iwamoto05 | 173/086 | | Hilda SIR | White Flare (CSV10.6C) | Ligton | 173/086 | SimplifiedCollector lists 173/086 as the card number for both SAR cards, each within its own set . As of 3 November 2026, that is the only public listing found that gives a number, and neither PokéBeach nor Card-Binder states one. Check it against the official checklist once the sets go on sale. Both cards are expected to remain China-only. PortalTCG says they are "expected both to stay exclusive to China, in line with most of the alternate artworks China has released since 2022" . PullList also expects them to stay China-exclusive, based on the same post-2022 pattern . > "China-only cards have remained region-locked; it's unlikely they'll be printed in English, at least not any time soon," — Matt Bassil, writer at Wargamer (source: Wargamer) For reference, Wargamer notes that the English-language N's Plan from Black Bolt was "generally going for about $50-60" . That figure is for the English card, not the new Chinese SIR. No price has been reported for the new Chinese SIR yet. ## What else is in the Chinese Black Bolt and White Flare lineup? Besides the two exclusive Trainer cards, collector sites list a Black & White Rare (BWR) tier and four product formats in the Chinese lineup. According to Card-Binder and SimplifiedCollector, the formats range from standard booster boxes to bundles that pair packs with a magnet, a coin or themed energy cards . The BWR tier uses monochrome artwork. Collector sites say Black Bolt carries a [Zekrom ex](https://snapholo.com/en/pokemon/en/scarlet-violet-black-bolt/zekrom-ex-34/) in this style and White Flare carries a [Reshiram ex](https://snapholo.com/en/pokemon/en/scarlet-violet-white-flare/reshiram-ex-20/) . The English sets also have BWR cards, so the tier is not unique to China. The N's Plan and Hilda artworks are the only parts of the lineup that China gets and the English sets don't. Collector sites list these products for the Chinese release : - **Booster packs and booster boxes** for Black Bolt and White Flare. - **Fridge-magnet set:** one random magnet and one booster pack. - **Coin set:** three booster packs, one random Pokémon ex and one themed coin. - **Energy set:** three booster packs, themed energy cards and promo Trainer cards. All of these product descriptions come from collector sites, not from an official product sheet. SimplifiedCollector lists the same four formats . As of 3 November 2026, no retail prices have been published for any of the four products. Exact contents may also differ from the collector-site descriptions, for example which Pokémon ex can appear in the coin set or which Trainer promos come in the energy set. Collectors who want a specific bundle should check the final product listings on or after the 6 November release, since that is when contents and pricing can be confirmed. ## What else releases in China on 6 November? Gem Pack 7 comes out in China on the same day as the Simplified Chinese Black Bolt and White Flare sets. Wargamer reported this in an article by Matt Bassil, last updated 19 October 2026 . A Reddit post on r/PokemonTCG by u/neonz09 gives the same date for Gem Pack Vol. 7 and the two Chinese sets . Gem Pack is a China-only line of small booster packs. They are not part of the Black Bolt and White Flare sets. Here is how Wargamer describes them : - **Pack size:** "only four cards apiece," fewer than a standard booster. - **Finishes:** "lots of different stamps and foil treatments" across the cards. - **Headline card:** a Special Art Rare (SAR) of Misty's Psyduck. Gem Pack 7 is sold separately. Its cards are not part of the Black Bolt or White Flare card lists. The N's Plan and Hilda SIRs belong to the two Unova sets, while the Misty's Psyduck SAR comes from Gem Pack 7\. No price for Gem Pack 7 has been announced in English, and its full card list and card numbers have not been confirmed. Collectors buying Chinese product around 6 November should check that a listing names the right product, either Gem Pack Vol. 7 or the Simplified Chinese Black Bolt or White Flare, before they buy. ## Where can collectors outside China expect to find these cards? Collectors outside China will most likely need to import the N's Plan and Hilda SIRs. Wargamer reports that China-only cards have historically stayed region-locked and that an English printing is unlikely "at least not any time soon" (source: Wargamer, 2026-10). PullList gives the same practical advice and expects the two cards to stay China-exclusive. This matches the pattern for most alternate artworks China has released since 2022 . > "Plan for the import market — these won't show up in your local booster box," — PullList news desk (source: PullList) For context, Wargamer says the English N's Plan from Black Bolt was "generally going for about $50-60" . That figure is for the English card only. As of 3 November 2026, no market price has been reported for the new Chinese SIRs. Before buying through an importer, check these points: - **Set code:** CSV10.5C is Black Bolt and CSV10.6C is White Flare in Simplified Chinese . - **Which card is in which set:** the N's Plan SIR is in Black Bolt and the Hilda SIR is in White Flare . - **Card numbers:** SimplifiedCollector lists 173/086 for both SARs, each within its own set . No second source confirms it yet, so check it against the set code and the official checklist. - **Release timing:** PokéBeach gives the China release date as 6 November 2026 . Singles listed before then are pre-sales. In short, the N's Plan and Hilda SIRs are expected to reach collectors outside China only as imported Simplified Chinese cards, not through English booster boxes. Check the set code and the release date before you pay. ## Frequently asked questions ### When do Simplified Chinese Black Bolt and White Flare release? Both sets come out in mainland China on 6 November 2026 , according to PokéBeach. PortalTCG and PullList give the same date, both in reports published in October 2026 . The English Black Bolt and White Flare sets came out on 18 July 2025 . ### Which cards are exclusive to the Chinese release? PokéBeach reports that N's Plan and Hilda each get a new Special Illustration Rare that has not been released anywhere else . The N's Plan SIR is in Black Bolt and the Hilda SIR is in White Flare. SimplifiedCollector credits the N's Plan art to Iwamoto05 and the Hilda art to Ligton, and lists both cards as 173/086 in their own sets . That card number comes from a single collector site and has not been confirmed officially. ### Are the Chinese sets different from the English ones otherwise? Not by much. PokéBeach says the sets are "nearly identical to ours, but printed in Simplified Chinese," and the two Trainer SIRs are the main difference . Both language versions include the Black & White Rare (BWR) cards, such as Zekrom ex in Black Bolt and Reshiram ex in White Flare. ### Will the N's Plan and Hilda SIRs be printed in English? No English printing is expected. PortalTCG says both cards are expected to stay exclusive to China, as most of China's alternate artworks have since 2022 . Wargamer adds that China-only cards have "remained region-locked," and that an English printing is unlikely any time soon . As of 3 November 2026, no English release has been announced. ### What are the Chinese set codes? Collector guides list Simplified Chinese Black Bolt as CSV10.5C and White Flare as CSV10.6C . SimplifiedCollector translates the Chinese titles as "Black Thunder Torrent" and "White Flame Surge." These codes are the quickest way to tell the Chinese printings apart from the English sets when you shop for imported cards. --- ### Related Articles - [Leak: 15 mini Happy Meal boxes, two Pokémon
