English ungraded (NM) ONE PIECE cards cost about 1.92 times as much as the same Japanese card at the median, based on tcg95's snapshot of 2 November 2026\. English copies cost more in all 9 pairs compared . The ratios ranged from about 1.37x to 3.18x .

**Quick Answer:** In tcg95's 2 November 2026 snapshot, English ONE PIECE cards cost more than the same Japanese cards in all 9 ungraded pairs, with a median of about 1.92x. In PSA 10, English cost more in 4 of 5 pairs, with a median of about 1.60x. The sample is small and comes from a single source.

The pattern mostly holds for graded copies, according to the same release:

- **PSA 10:** English cost more in 4 of 5 pairs, with a median ratio of about 1.60x .
- **The exception:** [OP05-119](https://snapholo.com/en/onepiece/en/awakening-of-the-new-era/monkeydluffy-op05-119/) [Monkey D. Luffy](https://snapholo.com/en/onepiece/en/monkey-d-luffy/) SEC regular version in PSA 10, where the Japanese copy cost more, at a ratio of 0.73x .
- **Exchange rate:** ¥157.90 per USD, the ECB reference rate for 2 November 2026 .

The figures were also republished on newscast.jp and Entame Rush. All of them come from tcg95's own release, not from an independent check.

Read the numbers with two limits in mind. First, 9 ungraded pairs and 5 graded pairs is a small sample. Second, tcg95 is a free service run by one person. The release names the operator as Wong Choon Ho of Johor, Malaysia . The live tcg95 comparison page updates once a day, so its current figures may not match the 2 November snapshot.

## What is tcg95's Japan vs English price comparison?

tcg95's Japan vs English price comparison is a free web page that sets the price of a Japanese ONE PIECE Card Game card next to the English copy of the same card in the same version. For example, a SEC parallel is compared only with a SEC parallel. The page is published at tcg95.com/ja/japan-vs-english-prices, and tcg95 announced it in a press release dated 4 November 2026 .

tcg95 is a free service for tracking trading-card prices and managing collections. It is run by one person, not by a retailer, grading company or Bandai. The release lists a personal Gmail address as the business contact (source: value-press, 2026-11). Neither the operator's identity nor the method has been confirmed by anyone outside tcg95.

The page has these terms:

- **License:** The data is released under CC BY 4.0, so anyone can reuse it with credit to tcg95 .
- **Update schedule:** Prices and exchange rates refresh once a day . A ratio seen on the live page may not match figures quoted from the 2 November snapshot.
- **What the prices leave out:** Prices do not include shipping, taxes or fees . A buyer importing a card from Japan would pay more than the listed yen price.
- **Purpose:** tcg95 says the data is for reference only and is not a recommendation to buy or sell .

The release was also republished on newscast.jp and Entame Rush. Both copies repeat tcg95's own text, so neither one checks the figures independently.

## Which ungraded cards show the widest and narrowest gaps?

In tcg95's snapshot of 2 November 2026, the widest ungraded gap was OP07-051 Boa Hancock SP (OP09) at 3.18x. The narrowest was OP06-118 Roronoa Zoro SEC comic parallel at 1.37x . All nine pairs cost more in English, according to the tcg95 press release on value-press.

The widest gap, Boa Hancock SP, is the OP07-051 card reprinted as an SP in the OP09 set. tcg95 lists the English copy at USD 805.69 and a Japanese sale at ¥40,000 on 24 October 2026, which works out to 3.18x . The English copy costs more than three times as much, even though both copies are the same version.

The narrowest gap came from the most expensive ungraded card in the set of pairs. OP06-118 Roronoa Zoro SEC comic parallel is listed at USD 2,500.00 in English against a ¥289,000 Japanese sale on 12 October 2026, or 1.37x . Even this lowest ratio still puts the English copy more than a third higher.

The regular parallel of the same Zoro card sits exactly at the median. OP06-118 Roronoa Zoro SEC parallel is listed at USD 119.03 in English and ¥9,800 in Japanese (sold 28 October 2026), or 1.92x . The two Zoro versions show that a single card can land at very different ratios depending on its treatment.

The full list of nine ungraded pairs, as published in the syndicated release on Entame Rush, is below . Ratios are calculated at tcg95's stated rate of ¥157.90 per USD.

| Card number and version | English (USD) | Japanese (JPY, sale date) | EN/JP ratio |
| ----------------------------------------- | ------------- | ------------------------- | ----------- |
| OP07-051 Boa Hancock SP (OP09) | 805.69 | ¥40,000 (10/24) | 3.18x |
| OP09-119 Monkey D. Luffy SP (OP13) | 322.69 | ¥19,800 (10/29) | 2.57x |

| OP06-118 Roronoa Zoro SEC parallel | 119.03 | ¥9,800 (10/28) | 1.92x |
| OP07-051 Boa Hancock SR comic parallel | 2,177.13 | ¥185,000 (10/20) | 1.86x |
| OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy SP wanted poster | 654.81 | ¥58,000 (10/10) | 1.78x |
| OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy SEC parallel | 159.52 | ¥17,400 (10/31) | 1.45x |
| OP06-118 Roronoa Zoro SEC comic parallel | 2,500.00 | ¥289,000 (10/12) | 1.37x |

A few patterns stand out in the table:

- The three highest ratios, all above 2.3x, are SP cards: Boa Hancock, Monkey D. Luffy OP09-119 and Gol D. Roger .
- The cheapest card, OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy SEC regular at USD 18.60, still shows a 2.03x gap .
- The two cards above USD 2,000, both comic parallels, have ratios below 1.9x .

These are the 2 November figures. tcg95's live comparison page updates daily. On 6 November 2026 it showed a median of about 1.90x and a range of 1.41x to 3.19x, with English still higher in all nine pairs .

## Does the English premium hold for PSA 10 graded cards?

Mostly, but the gap is smaller. tcg95 compared five PSA 10 pairs. In its 2 November 2026 snapshot, the English copy cost more in four of the five, at a median of about 1.60x the Japanese price . That is lower than the 1.92x median for ungraded cards.

The median pair is OP07-051 Boa Hancock SR comic parallel. According to tcg95's press release on value-press, a PSA 10 English copy sold for USD 2,600.00 on 28 October and a Japanese copy sold for ¥255,800 on 1 November, a ratio of 1.60x .

| Card (PSA 10) | English (USD) | Japanese (JPY) | EN/JP ratio |

Source for the table: tcg95's 2 November 2026 snapshot, published by Entame Rush and value-press, at ¥157.90 per USD . The release gives only the ratio for the Luffy SEC regular pair, not the two prices.

The four English-premium pairs cover a wide range:

- **Widest gap:** OP07-051 Boa Hancock SP, at USD 830.00 against ¥56,000, or 2.34x .
- **Middle:** OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy SP wanted poster, at USD 861.00 against ¥74,500, or 1.82x .
- **Narrowest:** OP09-118 Gol D. Roger SP wanted poster, at USD 259.99 against ¥32,000, or 1.28x .

The one exception is OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy SEC regular version. In PSA 10, the Japanese copy cost more, at 0.73x . The same card ungraded went the other way, at 2.03x in favor of English . For this card, grading reversed which version cost more.

On the Japanese side, tcg95 uses SNKRDUNK sale prices for PSA 10\. On the English side, it uses sale records that alt.xyz collects from eBay, Fanatics, Goldin, Heritage and other platforms . Each figure comes from a single sale, so one high or low sale can move a pair's ratio.

The graded figures have already changed. On 6 November 2026, tcg95's live comparison page listed four PSA 10 pairs instead of five. English was higher in three of them, with a median of about 1.56x and a range of 0.73x to 2.35x .

## How were the prices measured, and what limits the comparison?

![Illustration of two stacks of shiny holographic trading cards on either side of a balance scale, one beside paper bills and the other beside coins.](https://snapholo.com/news/content/images/2026/11/one-piece-card-english-vs-japanese-prices-2026-body-ai-5-cover.jpg)

Illustration: AI-generated

tcg95 builds each ratio from different price sources on each side of the comparison. English prices are in US dollars and Japanese prices are in yen. To compare them, tcg95 converted yen at ¥157.90 per USD, the European Central Bank's daily reference rate for 2 November 2026 . According to the tcg95 comparison page, prices and exchange rates update once a day .

The value-press release lists these sources :

- **English, ungraded:** TCGplayer market price.
- **Japanese, ungraded:** recent completed sales on SNKRDUNK and Yuyu-tei.
- **English, PSA 10:** sale records gathered by alt.xyz.
- **Japanese, PSA 10:** SNKRDUNK sale prices.

The two ungraded sides use different kinds of price. A TCGplayer market price is an estimate, while the Japanese figures are actual completed sales. The page also shows asking prices from Japanese shops Card Rush, Raftel and magi, but only for reference. Those shop prices do not go into the ratios .

The figures also leave out costs a buyer would pay. According to the syndicated copy on Entame Rush, prices exclude shipping, taxes and fees. The release also says the data is for reference only and is not a recommendation to buy or sell .

Three more limits apply:

- **Small sample:** the 2 November snapshot covered only 9 ungraded pairs and 5 PSA 10 pairs .
- **One source:** every number comes from tcg95's own release and its syndicated copies on newscast.jp and Entame Rush. tcg95 is a self-published service run by one person, not an independent market authority. The release names Wong Choon Ho of Johor, Malaysia, as the operator .
- **Daily changes:** because the data updates every day, the 2 November figures are a snapshot, not current values.

The ungraded numbers have moved too. On 6 November 2026, the live page still showed English higher in all 9 pairs. The median had dropped to about 1.90x and the range had widened to 1.41x–3.19x . The data is published under a CC BY 4.0 license, so anyone can quote it with attribution. Anyone quoting it should name the date of the snapshot they use .

## Why are Japanese cards cheaper, and does the gap still mean arbitrage?

Japanese copies of regular One Piece cards usually cost less because Japan has more supply at home. BountyTCG says the gap can be small for popular parallels (source: BountyTCG). In other words, a ratio on a price page does not mean there is money to be made by importing cards.

BountyTCG lists three reasons why the price difference may not reach a buyer's wallet:

- **Supply:** Japan's large domestic supply keeps the prices of regular Japanese cards low.
- **Popular parallels:** on high-demand parallel cards, the gap between Japanese and English copies can shrink a lot.
- **Landed cost:** international shipping and customs can wipe out the price advantage completely. The tcg95 ratios also leave out shipping, taxes and fees (source: Entame Rush).

Release timing has changed too. According to BountyTCG, Bandai moved the ONE PIECE Card Game to a simultaneous worldwide release starting with [OP-15](https://snapholo.com/en/onepiece/en/adventure-on-kamis-island/). Before that, Japanese sets came out 2-3 months ahead of English ones. Traders could buy Japanese cards during that window, and BountyTCG says that opportunity no longer exists.

Some buyers think Japanese print quality explains the price difference. BountyTCG does not support that idea:

> Print quality varies more by production lot than by region. — BountyTCG, Japanese vs English edition guide (source: BountyTCG)

This matters for graded cards, because grading results depend on condition, not on which language the card is printed in.

OnePiece.gg also says no single multiplier covers every card. The gap depends on the set, rarity, card treatment, demand and availability. Buyers should compare the exact matching card, not use a general ratio (source: OnePiece.gg). The tcg95 data shows this. In PSA 10, the regular version of OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy SEC was the only pair where the Japanese copy cost more, at 0.73x (source: tcg95 via value-press, 2026-11). The same card ungraded showed English 2.03x higher.

## How do English and Japanese pack prices compare at retail?

The price gap is also visible in sealed product. A Japanese pack costs less, but it also holds fewer cards. According to Samurai Sword Tokyo and Ripster, a Japanese [OP-17](https://snapholo.com/en/onepiece/en/the-worlds-strongest-warriors/) booster pack retails for ¥240 and contains 6 cards. An English pack retails for $4.99 and contains 12 cards .

- **Japanese OP-17 pack:** ¥240 for 6 cards, about ¥40 per card .
- **English pack:** $4.99 for 12 cards, about $0.42 per card .
- **English booster box at MSRP:** about $119.76, according to Ripster .

Pack prices do not decide what a single card will sell for. Older examples from Danireon show the premium going in both directions. These figures are about 21 months old and are likely out of date. In that report, the Japanese OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy alt art sold for under $100, while the English copy sold for about $800 .

The OP01-120 Shanks alt art in PSA 10 went the other way. Danireon put the Japanese copy at $5,000–6,000 and the English copy at about $1,000 . The more recent snapshot shows English ahead in most pairs. tcg95's figures for 2 November 2026 put the ungraded median at about 1.92x, based on 9 pairs (source: tcg95 via value-press, 2026-11) .

For buyers, the practical step is to compare prices for the exact card, version and grade. The tcg95 comparison page updates once a day and is free to check before buying from either market (source: tcg95) . The comparison does not include shipping, taxes or fees, so add those costs before deciding which version is cheaper.

## Frequently asked questions

### Are English One Piece cards always more expensive than Japanese ones?

No. In tcg95's snapshot of 2 November 2026, the English version cost more in all 9 ungraded pairs it compared . The graded data had one exception. For OP05-119 Monkey D. Luffy SEC regular in PSA 10, the Japanese copy cost more, at a ratio of 0.73x (source: tcg95 via value-press, 2026-11) . Older market examples also show the gap going in both directions, depending on the card and grade (source: Danireon) .

### Which card had the biggest English-Japanese price gap?

The widest gap in tcg95's 2 November 2026 snapshot was ungraded OP07-051 Boa Hancock SP (OP09). The English copy was priced at USD 805.69 and the Japanese copy at ¥40,000, a ratio of 3.18x (source: tcg95 via value-press, 2026-11) .

### What exchange rate and sources did tcg95 use?

tcg95 converted prices at ¥157.90 per USD, the European Central Bank reference rate for 2 November 2026 . The price sources were:

- English ungraded: TCGplayer market price.
- Japanese ungraded: recent completed sales on SNKRDUNK and Yuyu-tei.
- English PSA 10: sale records compiled by alt.xyz.
- Japanese PSA 10: SNKRDUNK sale prices.

The prices do not include shipping, taxes or fees (source: Entame Rush, 2026-11) .

### Are the 2 November figures still current?

No. The tcg95 page updates its prices and exchange rates once a day. On 6 November 2026 it showed different medians: about 1.90x for ungraded cards and about 1.56x for PSA 10 (source: tcg95, 2026-11) . To get current numbers, check the live page.

### Is buying Japanese cards to resell still an arbitrage?

Probably much less than before, according to BountyTCG. It says Bandai began releasing sets worldwide at the same time starting with OP-15\. That ended the 2–3 month head start the Japanese version used to have . BountyTCG also says that international shipping and customs can cancel out the price difference entirely (source: BountyTCG) . tcg95 says its data is for reference only and is not a recommendation to buy or sell.
