When is it released, and where is it sold?
The Official Playmat & Card Set -Flame-Flame Fruit Contest Edition- was released on Saturday, October 3, 2026 . The official product page lists only one sales channel: the venue of the 'Mera Mera no Mi Sōdatsusen' (Flame-Flame Fruit Contest) event (source: ONE PIECE Card Game official site).
The release date is the same day as Day 1 of the event. According to the official event microsite, the tournament ran on October 3 and October 4, 2026, at Makuhari Messe Halls 3–6 in Chiba, Japan . An official ONE PIECE news post dated September 11, 2026 gives the same venue and dates .
Here is what the official page confirms about where to buy the set, and what it leaves out:
- Confirmed: sold at the Mera Mera no Mi Contest venue. The page says 「『メラメラの実争奪戦』会場にて販売決定！」 ("sale at the event venue confirmed") .
- Confirmed: release on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at ¥4,730 including tax .
- Not confirmed: online sales, post-event sales or mail-order sales. The official page does not mention any of these.
- Not confirmed: purchase limits per person. The page gives none.
A third-party merchandise blog says the event's 'Edition' goods were sold through pre-sale, post-sale or order sales. It does not say which of these applies to the playmat set (source: meli-melo blog). Until Bandai publishes a separate notice, the official page supports only one claim: the set is sold at the event venue.

What do you get for ¥4,730: one card and one playmat?
The Flame-Flame Fruit Contest Edition set contains two items: one card and one playmat. Bandai's official product page lists the contents as "カード：1枚 ・プレイマット：1枚" (card ×1, playmat ×1) at ¥4,730 including tax (source: ONE PIECE Card Game official site, 2026-10).
Here is what the official page confirms and what it leaves out:
- Card: 1 included . The page does not name the card or give a card number.
- Playmat: 1 included . The page does not give a size or material.
- Purchase limit: none stated on the page.
- Price: ¥4,730 including tax, for the two items together .
Because the card is not identified, any listing or post that names a specific card from this set is not backed by the first-party page. Collectors who want to match a card to this product should look for a card number published by Bandai. Until then, the set can only be described as "one card".
The page also carries Bandai's standard notes. Product photos may differ slightly from the actual item, and specifications may change . That means the playmat artwork shown online may not match the printed item exactly.

What is the Mera Mera no Mi Contest event at Makuhari Messe?

That venue is the only sales channel the official product page confirms for the ¥4,730 playmat set (source: Mera Mera no Mi Contest official site).
When Bandai first announced the event in June 2026, its official X account described the tournament's size this way:
"ワンピカード史上最大規模" ("the largest-scale event in ONE PIECE Card Game history"), from Bandai's official ONE PIECE Card Game account (source: @ONEPIECE_tcg on X) .
The same post laid out the two-day schedule. Day 1 covered the preliminary rounds up to round 6. Day 2 started with round 7 of the preliminaries and ran through the final tournament .
According to the official microsite, the preliminaries used the Swiss format for up to 11 rounds. The top 64 players then moved to a single-elimination final round .

What other Contest Edition goods were reported alongside the playmat set?
A fan merchandise blog lists four more items in the same "メラメラの実争奪戦 Edition" line. They are a ¥660 Premium Card Collection, a ¥990 Official Storage Box, a ¥990 Limited Card Sleeve pack and a ¥1,650 DON!! card product . This is a third-party roundup. No official Bandai page checked for this article confirms these items.
The blog's playmat set entry does match the official product page. Both give ¥4,730 including tax for one playmat and one card (source: ONE PIECE Card Game official site) . The other prices below come only from the blog (source: meli-melo blog roundup) .
| Item (as listed) | Reported price | Reported contents | Official page confirmation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Official Playmat & Card Set -メラメラの実争奪戦 Edition- | ¥4,730 | 1 playmat, 1 card | Yes |
| Premium Card Collection -メラメラの実争奪戦 Edition- | ¥660 | 3 cards, 1 of each | Not checked |

| Limited Card Sleeve | ¥990 | 70 sleeves | Not checked |

The blog says the event goods were handled through three methods:
- Pre-sale (事前販売)
- Post-event sale (事後販売)
- Made-to-order sale (受注販売)
The blog does not say which method applies to the playmat set . The official product page confirms only one channel: sale at the Mera Mera no Mi Contest venue . Until Bandai says otherwise, treat online, post-event or mail-order availability for the playmat set as unconfirmed.
What was reported about prizes and results?
The prize and result reports so far come from third-party or unofficial sources. Bandai has not published them on a first-party page. An unofficial news account on X reported that a Kaido (purple) deck won the event, which had roughly 10,000 players . This research found no official results page.
Third-party summaries of Bandai's announcements describe the prizes as follows. This research could not match these items to a first-party page, so read them as background only:
- Winner: a one-of-a-kind "Mera Mera no Mi" card
- Top 4: a commemorative playmat
- Top 8: commemorative sleeves
These prize items are separate from the Official Playmat & Card Set sold at the venue. Nothing in the official product listing links the ¥4,730 set to tournament placement .
The promotion around the event is officially confirmed. Bandai ran Mera Mera no Mi advertising at JR Akihabara Station for a limited period starting September 14, 2026, according to ONE PIECE official news .
No verified source covers resale prices, sell-outs or remaining stock for the playmat set. This article does not estimate any of them. Two facts are confirmed: the product page lists the set at ¥4,730 including tax, and it was sold at the Makuhari Messe venue from October 3, 2026 . If you're tracking the set, check Bandai's product page and the event microsite. They are the places where an official results post or a change in sales channels would appear.
