Hokkaido has crowned the first winner of the ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 26-27 Season 2 Area Tournaments in Japan. According to Tier One (tier-one-onepiece.jp), Ryo won the 3 November 2026 event with Purple-Yellow Pudding. The other six venues have not played yet.
Who won the first One Piece Card Game Area Tournament of Championship 26-27 Season 2?

Ryo won the Hokkaido Area Tournament on 3 November 2026 with Purple-Yellow Pudding (紫黄プリン), and Kamui (神威) finished second with Blue Rocks (青ロックス), according to Tier One . Hokkaido was the first of seven Japanese venues and, as of 4 November 2026, the only one with a result.
Quick Answer: Ryo won the Hokkaido Area Tournament of the ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 26-27 Season 2 on 3 November 2026 with Purple-Yellow Pudding. Kamui took second place with Blue Rocks, according to Tier One. As of 4 November 2026, Hokkaido is the only one of the seven Japan venues with a result.
The Area Tournaments (エリア大会) are the Japanese regional stage of the Championship 26-27 Season 2 circuit. Bandai's official events page gives the Season 2 Area Tournament period as 3 November to 13 December 2026, played in the Standard format . Tier One published its results roundup on 3 November 2026 and says it will add each venue's result after that venue's event .
| Venue | Date | Placing | Player | Deck |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Hokkaido (北海道会場) | 3 Nov 2026 (Tue, national holiday) | Winner (優勝) | Ryo | Purple-Yellow Pudding (紫黄プリン) |
| Hokkaido (北海道会場) | 3 Nov 2026 (Tue, national holiday) | Runner-up (準優勝) | Kamui (神威) | Blue Rocks (青ロックス) |
Points to keep in mind when reading this result:
- All of the placings above come from one outlet, Tier One .
- Only the winner and runner-up have been named. No Top 4 or Top 8 breakdown has been published.
- The remaining six venues, from Aichi to Hiroshima, have not been played yet, so they have no results.
What do we not know yet about the Hokkaido decks?
The full Hokkaido decklists are not public yet. As of 4 November 2026, Tier One names only the winner, Ryo (Purple-Yellow Pudding), and the runner-up, Kamui (Blue Rocks). Its results page has no card-by-card lists and no Top 4 or Top 8 placings . Tier One says it will add results one venue at a time.
The following details are still missing from the published Hokkaido result:
- Decklists: the exact cards and counts used by Ryo and Kamui.
- Top cut placings: who finished 3rd–4th and 5th–8th, and which leaders they played.
- Swiss standings: records from the preliminary rounds before the top 16 bracket.
- Deck share: how many players at the venue used each leader. No breakdown has been published.
Two other sources may fill some of these gaps, but neither has been confirmed yet. Search summaries say the official ONE PIECE Card Game X account (@ONEPIECE_tcg) posted the Hokkaido winner's and runner-up's decks. They also say the top cut was streamed on YouTube. Treat both as unverified for now. Any decklist taken from them should be checked against the original post or broadcast before you rely on it.
Without lists or placings, the Hokkaido result can't tell us why Purple-Yellow Pudding won or how common it was at the event. A single venue's winner is also too small a sample to show how the remaining six Area Tournaments will look. Fuller lists from Tier One or from Bandai's official channels are the next thing to watch for.
When and where are the other six Area Tournaments?
Six Area Tournaments are still to come after Hokkaido. According to Tier One, they are Aichi on 8 November, Miyagi on 14 November, Kumamoto on 21 November, Osaka on 29 November, Tokyo on 5–6 December and Hiroshima on 13 December 2026 . None of these six events has been held yet, so none has results.
Tier One splits Season 2 into seven events. Here is its full venue list, including Hokkaido :
| Venue | Date (2026) | Status as of 4 Nov 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Hokkaido (北海道会場) | 3 November | Held; winner and runner-up reported |
| Aichi (愛知会場) | 8 November | Not yet held |
| Miyagi (宮城会場) | 14 November | Not yet held |
| Kumamoto (熊本会場) | 21 November | Not yet held |
| Osaka (大阪会場) | 29 November | Not yet held |
| Tokyo (東京会場) | 5–6 December | Not yet held |
| Hiroshima (広島会場) | 13 December | Not yet held |
Tier One's schedule labels Aichi as a Saturday and Kumamoto as a Sunday. On the 2026 calendar, though, 8 November is a Sunday and 21 November is a Saturday. If you plan to travel to either event, check the day on Bandai's page first.
Bandai's official Japanese events page lists the Season 2 Area Tournament period as 3 November to 13 December 2026, under Standard (スタンダード) regulation . That start and end match Tier One's Hokkaido and Hiroshima dates. The same official page lists two side events at the venues :
- Matching Battle: prizes depend on how many games you win.
- Flagship Battle EX: a separate side event held at the venues.
Before 8 November, the only Season 2 Area Tournament result is Hokkaido's. The next result to watch for is Aichi.
What is the Area Tournament format and regulation?

Each Season 2 Area Tournament has two stages: Swiss-system (スイスドロー) preliminary rounds, then a single-elimination final bracket for the top 16 players, according to Tier One (tier-one-onepiece.jp) . The events use Standard regulation.
A Swiss-system round pairs players who have the same win-loss record. Nobody is knocked out during the preliminary rounds. When those rounds end, the field is cut to 16. From that point, a player who loses a match is out. The Hokkaido final between Ryo and Kamui on 3 November 2026 was the last match of this bracket .
The regulation is Standard (スタンダード), which allows cards from block icon ② up to the newest cards ("ブロックアイコン②~最新カードまで"), according to Tier One . Bandai's official Japanese events page also lists Standard for the Season 2 Area Tournament period . In practice:
- Legal: cards marked with block icon ② or any later block, up to the newest release.
- Not legal: cards with block icon ①.
- Same rules at every venue: the seven events, from Hokkaido to Hiroshima, use the same regulation.
The format applies only to the main tournament. The official events page lists two side events at the venues: Matching Battle, where prizes depend on how many games a player wins, and Flagship Battle EX . Neither one is part of the Swiss rounds or the top-16 bracket.
One correction to Tier One's page: the sentence that splits the tournament into seven events ("7つの大会") calls it "Season1". The rest of the article, including its title and schedule, is about Season 2 , so "Season1" looks like a typo. The seven-venue count matches the schedule Tier One publishes for Season 2.
How did players qualify for an Area Tournament spot?
Players earned their Area Tournament spots at store qualifiers (店舗予選). According to Tier One, these ran from 1 to 30 September 2026 . The number of spots each store could award depended on how many players entered that store's event.
The official ONE PIECE Card Game X account also announced store qualifiers at authorised shops across Japan for 9/1 (Tue) to 9/30 (Wed) . That matches the dates Tier One gives.
Tier One lists the following spot thresholds. They come only from that site :
| Store qualifier entrants | Area Tournament spots awarded |
|---|---|
| Fewer than 2 | None. The event does not count ("大会不成立") |
| 2–13 | Top 1 player |
| 14–20 | Top 2 players |
| 21–27 (the page reads "21名~27名以上") | Top 3 players |
| 28 or more | Top 4 players |
The table has one wording quirk. Tier One labels the third tier "21名~27名以上", which reads as "21 to 27 or more." That overlaps with the next tier, which covers 28 or more entrants and awards four spots . The most likely meaning is 21 to 27 entrants for three spots, but the page has not clarified it.
In practice, store turnout set the number of spots:
- A small shop with 10 entrants sent only its winner to an Area Tournament.
- A store that reached 28 entrants sent its top 4.
- A store with only one registered player did not run a valid qualifier, so it awarded no spot.
Tier One does not say how many players qualified in total, or how many go to each of the seven venues. Bandai's official events page lists the Area Tournament period and its Standard regulation, but no qualifier totals .
Which decks led the store qualifiers, and how does Hokkaido compare?
According to torecamap.co.jp, three decks had the highest win rates in the Season 2 store qualifiers: Green Mihawk, Purple-Yellow Robin and Red-Black Sabo (Elbaf build). Its roundup was published on 2 September 2026 . Neither Hokkaido finalist played any of these three decks.
Torecamap named these three decks as the strongest performers:
- Green Mihawk (緑ミホーク)
- Purple-Yellow Robin (紫黄ロビン)
- Red-Black Sabo, Elbaf build (赤黒サボ(エルバフ型))
The roundup does not give match counts, win-rate percentages or deck-share figures. It ranks the decks in words only .
Torecamap also calls Green Mihawk the deck the format revolves around. It says whether a deck could beat Green Mihawk was the main factor in deck choice . This is one outlet's reading of the September store-qualifier stage. It is not data from the Area Tournaments.
At the Hokkaido venue on 3 November 2026, the final looked different. According to Tier One, Ryo won with Purple-Yellow Pudding, and Kamui finished second with Blue Rocks . Neither deck is one of the three torecamap named.
Hokkaido is the only one of the seven venues with results so far. One final cannot show whether the deck picks from the store qualifiers will carry over to the Area Tournaments.
Are the Regionals in other regions the same event?
No. The Japanese Area Tournaments (エリア大会) are separate from the Regionals that Bandai runs in other regions, so their results should be tracked apart. The English official site lists its own "Championship 26-27 Regionals Season 2" circuit for North America, Europe and Latin America . The Hokkaido final belongs only to the Japanese series (source: ONE PIECE Card Game official site (EN)).
The official sites list three separate Championship 26-27 circuits:
- Japan: Area Tournaments at seven venues, running from 3 November to 13 December 2026 under Standard regulation (source: ONE PIECE Card Game official site (JP)).
- North America, Europe and Latin America: Regionals Season 2, listed on the English official site .
- Asia: separate 1on1 and 3on3 Regionals, listed on the Asia official site (source: ONE PIECE Card Game Asia official site).
A winning deck at a Japanese Area Tournament is not a Regionals result, and the reverse is also true. Each circuit has its own events, entry routes and venues.
So far, the Japanese circuit has one confirmed result. According to Tier One, Ryo won the Hokkaido event on 3 November 2026 with Purple-Yellow Pudding . The Aichi venue on 8 November 2026 will be the next result to check .
